Almost upset, @polushina advised me to consider a different country - Montenegro, sharing Zhenya's contact. Everything was organized in 2 months: from the moment we chose Montenegro as our wedding location to the very celebration!
I don’t know how it happened, but it just clicked and we found a common language from the very start. All our wants were met with several possible propositions!
Zhenya came up with the wedding concept right away. Preparing, managing the wedding and accommodating for us and the guests (a funny story), fell completely on her shoulders.
I love controlling everything and preparing everything in advance. Deciding and improvising on the spot is not at all about me. Thus me and Zhenya were the perfect match!
A funny story with a villa happened on the second day of our stay (we arrived a day earlier than the guests). The location promised beauty and privacy for a wonderful holiday. However the owner of the villa felt bossy and decided to come up with some strange rules. Zhenya immediately advised up against the location (by the way, she found the villa herself and I really liked it)! However where else whould you look for an accommodation for 25 people on the same day, if the season is closed and most of the villas are not rented? (initially we chose this villa because of the spacious houses). We started looking for an alternative on the spot however didn’t find anything better. I was starting to feel upset about the whole situation and the perspective of spending our holiday according to the landlord's “newly invented rules”.
Everyone messaged us - we are on the plane! (almost all guests took 1 flight). We started to accept the idea of the villa when Zhenya called and said she has found a perfect altenative! "I found it! come to see the hotel!" At first I was skeptical - a lot of unfamiliar people, while we wanted a family and friends reunion. BUT! the hotel turned out to be amazing and truly surpassed all our expectations. In comparison to the villa we were welcome there. Thus we managed to change the staycation without spending a single penny over the accommodation budget. We moved into a hotel (the bride and groom got a penthouse with a fantastic view). All this happened in just 3 hours while the guests were still on their way to us!) Can you believe this?)
Another issue we had to consider: the villa was a 5-minute walk from the restaurant, while the hotel was not ... what to do? We solved it by swimming to the restaurant along the bay! And then everything went by so fast, beautiful and amazing! I would rate the entire preparation at a solid 5! Those pictures of immense beauty don't lie.
Zhenya also dealt with our ceremony documents. We only shared copies, signed the book on the wedding day (witnesses as well) and a day later a translated and certified marriage certificate was already in our hands! (we had it right before the departure).
So if you are looking for adventures in Montenegro, call Zhenya (not only for weddings!)
